Our commitment
All are welcome
at SVCC.
We are committed to making Silicon Valley Curling Club a diverse and inclusive environment in which all curlers can thrive. We strive to be a community that welcomes and supports people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to, members of any race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, color, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
Reports of exclusionary language, behavior, and harassment are taken seriously at SVCC. Please read the Code of Conduct for more information about our policies.
“As curlers we strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive community, but it is clear our club and our sport are not representative of the communities in which we curl. We must acknowledge this deficit runs counter to our espoused values, and have work to do in order to close this gap.”
– SVCC Board of Directors
in an email sent to membership in response to the growing unrest across the nation due to systemic racial injustice in America, June 2020
